How many guests can be accommodated for the Wedding Ceremony?
For a civil ceremony Castle House in the estate grounds can accommodate up to 200 guests; whilst for outdoor ceremonies the Temple of the Four Winds on the South Terrace can accomodate any number of guests.

How many guests can be accommodated for the Wedding Breakfast?
The 1680 ballroom within the house can seat up to 200. A marquee on the lawn is another dining option and guest numbers for this are limitless! For smaller weddings both the Great Hall and Orangery can be used as dining spaces.

We are getting married next year - will the venue hire/accommodation charges that we have been quoted remain fixed so that we can sort out ourbudget?
Yes

Are there any other costs I should know about?
We have an evening guest charge of £4.75pp - but this only comes into play if you exceed your day guest numbers by more than 25% If you want to use candles, then that's fine but they can only be ordered through the house wedding styling service and there will be a fire marshall fee of £40. There are no other additional charges.

Can we source our own wine and champagne for the wedding breakfast?
Yes - from 2012 we are introducing a simple per head storage and handling fee of £15pp - which will allow you to bring in any quantity of wine and champagne. The fee will cover you until the end of the wedding breakfast. Alternatively you can choose from our super wine list with the house wine choice labeled with our own crest.

Can we take any of the bottles of wine and champagne that we haven't drunk during the wedding breakfast over to the Orangery for the eveningreception?
No - but you can use them for the Brympton After Party in the Star Chamber when your evening reception comes to an end in the Orangery.

Can we throw confetti?
Yes, but only fresh or dried flower petals please.

We understand that the bar closes at midnight - can we extend the party after this time?
Yes, at an additional venue hire cost of £250.

Can we have fireworks on the day?
Yes, but only up until 10 pm and through our recommended fireworks company. Please contact the wedding office for more details.
